Discover the depth and richness of The London Archives’ Jewish collections in this one-off document display curated for Jewish Culture Month.

Drawing from centuries of material preserved in the archive, attendees can browse a selection of historic manuscripts, community papers, correspondence, maps and printed items that together trace the long presence of Jewish communities in London. Explore records that reflect daily life, faith, migration, neighbourhood networks, civic participation and the resilience of Jewish Londoners across different eras.

Highlights include documents connected to medieval settlement, early modern community organisation, 19th century philanthropy and 20th century cultural life.
The selection offers insight into how Jewish Londoners shaped London and how London shaped them in return.

This is an opportunity to encounter original archive material up close, discover less familiar stories and gain a greater understanding of the communities represented in the collections held at The London Archives.

The event forms part of Jewish Culture Month, an initiative celebrating British Jewish life, learning and heritage. It sits alongside talks, exhibitions and guided walks taking place between mid May and mid June 2026.
